The issuance and renewal of residence permit tax for immigrants introduced in Italy from January 30. People who want to live in the country from three months to a year will pay tax in 80 euros. For those who plan to stay in Italy more than a year, it will cost 200 euros.
 
The tax was included in the budget law by Silvio Berlusconi's government - on the initiative of the Minister of Interior and Minister of Economy. However, the force of the law was suspended.
