Ukraine temporarily stopped buying beef and lamb in European producers due to the fact that in Germany, Belgium, France, Britain and the Netherlands were recorded animal disease outbreaks caused by Schmallenberg virus, affected large and small cattle.

European doctors assured that the new disease is not dangerous to humans. But Netherlands researchers say that the human infection is possible. At the same symptoms can be different - from mild nausea to fever and intoxication".

In Ukraine the volume of beef exports exceed imports. At the same time, market participants do not exclude that the decrease in imports affect the quality of Ukrainian meat".
