Ukraine this year won't need to purchase sugar to State Reserve, State Reserve Chairman Oleksiy Leliuk has said.

"In 2012, it's not necessary to purchase sugar to State Reserve, while there is overproduction of the product in Ukraine", - he said, "Interfax-Ukraine" read.

He noted that the stocks of sugar at the State Reserve are three times higher than the minimum specified by law.

Lelyuk also said that this year, according to refreshment plan, State Reserve plans to sell 800 tons of sugar.

"The sell-by date is almost over: sugar, as you know, stored, according to state standards, four years under proper conditions, with a special temperature regime", - Leliuk said.
