Ukrainian Budget 2011 guarantees the growth of a living wage up to 1004 UAH

The Cabinet of Ukraine changed the mechanism of social standards rising. Thus the in the budget for 2011, revising of social payments will be just 4 times instead of 5, as it was before. As a result, from April to October 2011 social payments growth is not planned.

Now the size of a living wage and minimum wage changes from January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1 and December 1. But next year during the period from April to October, these indicators will not change. In general, in the draft budget the wage rising and cost of living planned to rise on  8,8-9%, which is even smaller than the overall growth of state budget revenues on 10%.

Living wage for able-bodied population and the minimum wage will be 941 UAH from January 1, it will grow on 19 UAH from April 1, and from October 1 t will be on 25 UAH bigger. So at the end of the year it will reach 1004 UAH. In 2010, the Living wage for able-bodied and the minimum wage has grown much more significant - on 23,9%, from 744 UAH to 922 UAH (from December to December).

A source from the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy said that the reason of four-time viewing of social standards in 2011 is caused by the traditional slight increase in inflation during the period from April to October, and deflation in the summer months. We remind, that this year inflation for the period amounted was 2,7% (in June and August - 0.6%).
