Russia And Ukraine Unite For The Common Safety?
Cooperation plan for 2011-2012 was signed by National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and Security Council of Russia. This document was approved by the head of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Raisa Bohatyryova and the head of Security Council of the Russian Federation Michail Patrushev. The parties guaranteed the unity or similarity of approaches to the burning international and regional issues, as well as the presence of sound basis for further cooperation.
They also agreed to cooperate with new global challenges and threats in the context of a wide range of security issues.
Particular attention was given to the necessity of cooperation in combating terrorism, unlawful drug trafficking, piracy, international organized crime, which constitute a grave ganger to international peace and security.
Secretaries underlined the importance of joint efforts on contriety of the information use and communication technologies in terroristic and criminal purposes.
