The Cabinet Calls Hand And Spits Out All Prospects Of Pension Reform
Today the Verkhovna Rada will hear the Cabinet of Ministers on the prospects of pension reform. This is stated in the agenda of Parliament. Sergii Tigipko was invited earlier by deputies to speak. Deputies will also hear a report of the provisional investigatory commission of Verkhovna Rada concerning the circumstances and causes of investigation of the current situation in credit cooperations, they also review the amendments about the victims of Nazi persecution.
Besides, the Council will adopt a decision on a law № 7011 "On Amendments to the Law "on Print Media" and № 7251 "On the Concept of the State Information and Communications Policy."
The issue about the early termination of the powers of some deputies is at the end of the agenda.
As it's known, on December 13, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced to the Verkhovna Rada a bill which expected to raise the retirement age for women from 55 to 60 years, annually increasing it to 6 months, starting from February 1, 2011.
The bill also provides the increase of the minimum pensionable service by age from 5 to 15 years.
