Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics has decided to award the former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko with Dole Leadership Prize. The awarding to be held on September 19.

The Institute is awarded annually to an individual or group whose leadership inspires others. The award comes with a $ 25,000 prize.

According to the director of the institute Bill Lacy, the former president was awarded because he stood for democracy and really helped his country in a very difficult and hectic time during the Orange Revolution.

Earlier the Dole Leadership Prize received U.S. president George HW Bush and former President of Poland Lech Walesa.
