The volume of natural gas transit through the territory of Ukraine could be reduced by 6% (about 6 billion cubic meters of natural gas) because of the Turkey'd refusal to buy Russian gas. This was announced by the energy expert Valentyn Zemlyansky.

"We get about 2.7 billion dollars from pumping 100 billion cubic meters of gas, and if Turkey stops buying gas from Russia, we will lose, at a rough estimate, about $ 160 million for transportation", - said the expert.

At the same time Bogdan Sokolovsky, energy expert, sees no serious problems in Turkey's refusal to buy Russian gas.

"Implications for Ukraine are small. There are small amounts of gas. In addition it's a joint venture of Russia, Ukraine and Turkey to transport gas to Turkey. The profit is divided into three countries. In financial terms, our losses are small," - said the expert.

Moreover, according to Sokolovsky, Turkey's refusal to buy Russian gas - it is rather a good platform for trade with Russia than a real plans to abandon the Russian gas.
