The IMF mission continues its work in Ukraine after the Ukrainian-Russian negotiations on gas prices, the IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine Max Alier reported at Adam Smith Institute conference.

"Our mission has been here for two weeks, we have been actively negotiating at different levels. It was a very meaningful negotiations, we understood each other well", - the representative of the Fund said.

"The Government of Ukraine believes that another gas agreement will be signed with Russia, and we have agreed to wait until the final results", - Alier said.

As it was reported earlier, the IMF insisted on a one-stage increase in gas tariffs for households at 30% and for heat and power authority at 60%. However, the Cabinet of Ministers counts on the successful outcome of gas talks with Russia, and so do not want to adjust tariffs.
