Turkey and Ukraine agreed on the abolition of visas

Today, on 22 December, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych in Turkey agreed to abolish visa for Ukrainians.

The Agreement enters into force from May 2012 - i.e. before the holiday season. Half a million Ukrainians visited Turkey in 2011.

Today President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych arrives on an official visit to Turkey. Ukraine and Turkey will sign 10 international agreements, particularly in trade, energy, education, transport and culture. Under the chairmanship of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be held first meeting of the Strategic High-Level Council.
