The EU hopes to avoid extreme measures against the Ukrainian
The President of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, in an interview said that the EU wouldn't apply economic sanctions against the Ukrainian government.

Buzek said: "I won't get ahead. I have hope that these sanctions will not be imposed".
According to him, we should wait for the parliamentary elections in Ukraine and watch the tide of events.
"The introduction of extreme measures won't be pleasant either for Ukraine or for the European Union. However, the EU will do everything possible to protect human rights and democracy in Ukraine", - the President of the European Parliament assured.
