Europe has Accused Ukraine of Human Rights Violation
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe criticized Ukraine for the improper performance of the decisions of European Court of Human Rights.
The Assembly on Wednesday listened to the Christos Pourgourides's report about this and took the a resolution based on the discussion.
"In nine countries - Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine an alarming delays in complying the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights", - stated in the resolution of the Assembly. In particular, there is "a chronic failure to comply with the decisions of national courts, is widespread, especially in Russia and Ukraine and the facts of death and ill-treatment by law enforcement officials, as well as the lack of any real investigation of these cases, unlawful detention and excessive pretrial detention, which is typical for Moldova, Poland, Russia and Ukraine".
The resolution also provides guidance to countries.
