On March 1-2, Head of the EU diplomatic corps Catherine Ashton will visit Ukraine. The negotiations will be the key aim in determining future policy of Brussels with Kiev.
On February 25, 2010, the day of the inauguration of President Viktor Yanukovych, Catherine Ashton, has already visited Kiev. That was a visit of courtesy. After that, the Ukrainian leadership has repeatedly invited her to come into the country for full-scale negotiations. As a result, Brussels has promised that Ashton will visit Ukraine in the first half of 2011.
Experts believe the probability that during the visit  Ashton will made a sharp public statements concerning the political situation in Ukraine is low. And as to the press, she will stick to cautious diplomatic language, the same as that were told by the EU before.
