Ukraine to Unite the OSCE
President of Ukraine has arrived at the OSCE summit in Kazakhstan today. While in Astana, Viktor Yanukovych said that Ukraine could be a unifying force of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). According to the Ukrainian President, due to its neutral status Ukraine would be an "honest broker" and will make every effort to strengthen the effectiveness of the OSCE in the interests of all the participants, Interfax-Ukraine news agency says.
"I am convinced that Ukraine can be a unifying force in the OSCE”, said the President of Ukraine at the plenary meeting of the OSCE summit in Astana on Wednesday.
Viktor Yanukovych reminded that in 2013 Ukraine would hold the chairmanship of the OSCE.
In this regard, the President of Ukraine stressed that such confidence in Ukraine is an important stimulus for further self-improvement, extension of the system reforms and for the development of a prosperous democratic society.
