Ukraine will Have a Russian-made Satellite
Company “Information Satellite Systems“ (ISS, Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk, Russia) jointly with the Canadian firm MDA will built telecommunications satellite for Ukraine. It was noted at the international space conference in the international exhibition of digital and telecommunication technologies CeBIT 2011, held in Hanover, said Chief Designer – ISS General Director Nikolai Testoedov, informs “Interfax-Ukraine".
"Last year Ukrainian operator became our partner because we together with Canadian company MDA begin to make the satellite for Ukraine", - said Testoedov.
He said that currently on the ISS areas they produce about 50 satellites, which are constructed under the Federal Space Program according tostate defense contracts and commercial contracts.
Testoedov also said that in its history, the company has created more than 40 space systems and satellites about 1200 for various purposes.
