Sweden Opening Its Wallet for Ukraine

Sweden intends to give Ukraine each year 25 million dollars of material aid for reform till 2013. Appropriate agreements were achieved by both countries during the conclusion of contract between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Sweden on cooperation in the field of development. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko and Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt signed the appropriate contract.

During the meeting, Bildt and Grishchenko discussed the conditions of bilateral cooperation, activation of political dialogue and cooperation between two countries within international organizations.

The parties also noted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
