Today representatives from Food and Veterinary Office will come to Ukraine to assess the status of the existing system of control of animal health in the production of poultry meat, eggs and their products. European experts will be in Ukraine from 6 to 10 December and will define whether Ukraine has conditions for export of relevant products in the European Union.

Favourable report of the inspectors of Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) of the Directorate General for Health and Consumers (DG SANCO) depends on the results of inspection of Ukrainian enterprises in Odessa, Kyiv and Cherkasy regions.

Maybe in May of 2011, notes the head of the Ukrainian department Ivan Bisyuk, the European Commission will allow Ukrainian producers of poultry meat and eggs to supply products to the European market.

Bisyuk is sure that Ukrainian poultry farmers have a big chance of getting the right to export products to EU countries. He reminds that Ukraine now is allowed to supply to the EU: fish, milk, honey and horse-meat.
